English Course for Young Adults

To address the difficulties in English learning, Hampson offers English courses aiming to solve puzzles for young adults and enhance their overall language capability. The comprehensive course is specifically designed for 6-to-18-year olds, using OTM as a tool.

Teenager-flyer: One-on-one customized course:
Teenager-flyer is a program designed specifically for 6-to-18-year olds, using OTM teaching method. The program spans 9 levels, each equipped with teaching materials to keep the contents fresh and interesting. It is structured to match the newly released English course standards with a smooth flow from level to level and proved to be an ideal after-school advanced course. Bearing in mind the "Five basic targeted goals", a variety of approaches have been taken into account while developing the Teenager-flier to reflect the comprehensive nature of OTM – interactive role playing, English song singing, games and entertainment, storytelling, reading out loud, grammar explanation and multi-subject integration – combined to cultivate an awareness of English-speaking culture.

Level 1-3: Fun stories as teaching materials, the course is effective in arousing students' interests in English and helping students build a solid grasp of English knowledge with greater ease. At the end of this level, students will be able to master 520 key words, 710 extended words, all elementary school grammar and partial junior high school grammar.

Level 4-6:Using storytelling as a teaching model to excite students' interests in English, the course is structured to match and go beyond the newly released English course standards, preparing students to manage school exams, while improving their ability of practical application. At the end of this level, students will be able to master 550 key words, 1100 extended words, all junior high school grammar and partial senior high school grammar.

Level 7:The course refines students' all-round language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - through intensive reading on original materials from abroad. At the end of this level, students will be able to build a 2000-word vocabulary, grasp two tenses and voices of verbs, read simplified English novels with 1200-word vocabulary and properly write 100-word narrative essays and practical papers.

Level 8:The course refines students' all-round language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing – through intensive reading on original materials from abroad. At the end of this level, students will be able to build a 2500-word vocabulary, read simplified English novels with 1500-word vocabulary, understand articles at the difficulty level of college entrance examination and properly write 120-word descriptive essays.

Level 9:The course refines students' all-round language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing – through intensive reading on original materials from abroad. At the end of this level, students will be able to build a 4500-word vocabulary, read English novels with 1800-word vocabulary, understand articles at the difficulty level of college English band 4, learn typical language patterns and writing techniques and properly write 180-word narrative essays, practical papers and argumentative articles.

Featured 1+N small group courses After intensive studying, Hampson foreign tutor one-on-one featured language research and promotion center has introduced a new language program named 'Hampson 1+N customized course.' Based on OTM and guided by the 'Five basic targeted goals,' the program creates an authentic English-language environment for students to polish their oral English, reach their absolute potential and uplift their overall language ability. Hampson offers N types of small group courses, which are well classified, diversified and targeted, so students can choose one to meet their special needs.

Elementary School Stage
Pronunciation and Spelling
Through lively classroom teaching, the course helps kids develop a good pronunciation habit and master pronunciation rules for the 26 letters and their combinations, so they can pronounce the word when seeing it and recognize and spell the word when hearing it. It also helps kids build a solid platform for future advancement by ensuring pronunciation accuracy, improving word recognition ability and speeding up the memorization process.

Targeted Issues:
1. Lack of a good pronunciation habit;
2. Unable to pronounce when seeing a word;
3. Inefficient rote memorization;
4. Bad pronunciation hindered by dialect.
Little Reading Adventurers Assisted by Pearson online reading software, the course teaches original English-language stories. With proper exercises, students will be able to quickly improve their reading skills, expand their vocabulary, increase their oral fluency and boost their courage in public speaking.

2. Afraid of speaking English with strangers;
3. Introverted personality, stage fright, shyness and lack of independence.

High School Stage
Unbeatable Grammar
Using Cambridge English Grammar as teaching material, the course elaborates on over a hundred grammar points with in-depth comparison on the confusing ones, training English logical thinking and helping students conquer grammar once and for all.
Targeted Issues:
1. Lack of English logical thinking;
2. Unable to use appropriate tenses and voices;
3. Grammar is the weakest link;
4. In preparation of various English exams.
Reading Out Loud
In this course, teachers will prepare interesting reading materials, provide detailed explanations on words, frequently used expressions and basic language structure and encourage students to read out loud and role-play. The course will end up with a free discussion between teachers and students, during which students can develop an English mindset and learn self-study methods and improve their reading ability. Targeted Issues:
